  • Our Valentine's Day Celebration will be Thursday, February 13th at 2:00 PM. If you are an active PTO member and would like to come visit our classroom, please let me know ASAP. 
  • Friday, February 14th will be an Act 80 Day (NO SCHOOL FOR STUDENTS). 
  • Monday, February 18th NSE will be CLOSED for President's Day. School will resume on Tuesday, February 19th. 

What We're Learning:

Reading:  We will learn about comparing and contrasting with our story, "Anansi Goes Fishing".
Spelling: We will be focusing on words that follow a compound word pattern.  Our spelling test will tentatively be on Tuesday, February 25th, 2020.

Writing: We will write an informational book about an arctic animal! 
Math: We will create, organize, and represent mathematical ideas related to addition and subtraction strategies with independent work centers. We will review how to regroup with addition and subtraction problems.  
Social Studies: We will learn about our local government.

Homework: Complete and sign fluency passage "Brice Likes Limes". Don't forget to read it twice! Study and review spelling list. Spelling words can be found on the weekly newsletter and the Read Review Remember Sheet in your child's red Take Home Folder.  Complete math worksheet.
