A Peek at the Week


Monday, September 30th - Friday, October 4th 

Mark Your Calendar:

  • This week, NSE is participating in Homecoming Spirit Week. Please see below for guidelines and the daily attire.

  • General Guidelines: If students choose to participate, their attire must reflect the daily theme. If students are not participating, they must wear dress code. Students are permitted to wear jeans daily as long as they are participating in a theme. Please no hoodies and no masks.   

  • Monday 9-30-19: Colors of the Rainbow Day

     Each grade will wear a different color to make NSE look like a rainbow! Second grade will wear red. 

    Tuesday 10-1-19: Team Tuesday

    Pick your favorite high school, college, or professional team and dress like a SUPERFAN! Please note: Full face paint is not permitted. Minimal face paint is permitted (ex: a small star, spartan head, etc.). Wigs are not permitted. Temporary face paint is permitted. 

    Wednesday 10-2-19: Western Wednesday

    Find your best western duds and wear 'em to school! 

    Thursday 10-3-19: Throwback Thursday

     Pick an outfit that's a blast from the past!

    Friday 10-4-19: American Pride/Spartan Spirit Friday

    Today is a free dress down day with a Spartan shirt or a red, white, and blue shirt.  









  • Please return all Field Trip Permission Forms/Chaperone Request Forms as soon as possible. 

What We're Learning:

Reading:  We will learn about character and setting with our story, "Henry and Mudge and the Starry Night". 
Spelling: We will be focusing on words with consonant blends. Our spelling test will be on Tuesday, October 1st.
