A Peek at the Week


Monday, March 2nd - Friday, March 6th 2020

Mark Your Calendar

  • NSE will have Career Day on Friday, 3/6/20. Students may come to school dressed as their role model.
  • We will have a spelling quiz (i, ie, igh, y) on Wednesday, 3/4/20.
  • We will have a social studies quiz on Wednesday, 3/4/20.
  • We will have a math quiz on telling time to the half hour on Thursday, 3/5/20.
  • March Scholastic book orders are due on Friday, 3/13/20. 

What We're Learning:

Reading:  We will learn about sequence of events with our story, "Rosa and Blanca".
Spelling: We will be focusing on words that have comparative endings -er, -est.  Our spelling test will tentatively be on Thursday, March 19th, 2020.

Writing: We will write an informational book about an arctic animal! 
Math: We will create, organize, and represent mathematical ideas related to telling time with independent work centers. 
Social Studies: We will learn about the presidents, specifically Abraham Lincoln and George Washington.
